Mr. Funk is the President and Head of Farmland Acquisitions and Asset Management of Goldcrest Farm Trust Advisors. He is responsible for sourcing, executing and structuring investment opportunities across the United States, as well as managing the portfolio’s properties. Mr. Funk has over 25 years of farmland investment experience. Mr. Funk was the National Farmland Acquisition Manager for U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management, where he was responsible for sourcing and securing farmland investment opportunities. Prior to that, Mr. Funk was President and Chief Operating Officer of Sebastian Cotton and Grain, LTD, a family-owned grain merchandising (5 million bushels annually), cotton ginning and warehousing operation serving northern and central Mexico and Texas markets. In addition, he led and managed his family’s 25,000 acre cotton, grain sorghum, and sugarcane farming operation. Mr. Funk has served as a board member of the National Cotton Council, the Texas Grain Sorghum Producers, and Beltwide Cotton Cooperative, where he was chairman of the board. Mr. Funk received a degree in business from the University of Mississippi and is a graduate of the National Cotton Council Leadership Program.
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Hargroves is the Chief Operating Officer of Goldcrest Farm Trust Advisors and serves on the Investment Committee. Mr. Hargroves is responsible for property deal evaluation, portfolio construction, capital markets, finance, fund management and administration, research and strategy and investor relations. From 2008 to 2013, Mr. Hargroves worked for one of the founding shareholders of AgCoA, a private farmland REIT. Mr. Hargroves is a member of the Economic Club of New York. He received a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Feldman is Chairman of Goldcrest Farm Trust Advisors and Head of the Investment Committee. Mr Feldman provides oversight of deals and the overall portfolio. Mr. Feldman was the portfolio manager for one of the founding shareholders of AgCoA, a private farmland REIT. Mr. Feldman serves as a Trustee for the School of Social Policy and Practice at the University of Pennsylvania and recently served on New York City’s Mayoral Transition Team. Mr. Feldman received a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from New York University Law School.
